Exporting Your Agreements

Your agreements are automatically saved inside of Plainly Legal™, but you'll need to export them to use them in your business. Agreements are available for export once you've finalized them. Plainly Legal™ offers multiple export options.

Save Your Agreement as a PDF

Plainly Legal™ uses the built-in print-to-PDF functionality on your computer to help you save your document as a PDF. Start by clicking the "Save As PDF" link at the top of your agreement.

Once you click on the link, a print screen will pop up. In the "Destination" box, choose "Save as PDF" and click the Save Button.

From there, follow your system prompts to choose where the document will be saved on your computer.

Save Your Agreement as a Doc File

You can save your agreement as a DOC file for use in your word processor. Start by clicking the "Save As Doc" link at the top of your agreement.

From there, follow your system prompts to choose where the agreement will be saved on your computer.

NOTE: The conversion process sometimes results in formatting errors. Review your agreement and fix any formatting issues on your word processor before using it.

Agreements are currently downloaded as a .doc file (as opposed to a .docx file). These files are not compatible with the Pages word processor on Apple computers. If you are a Pages user, we recommend using the "Copy Text" export function. Follow the instructions in that section below and copy the text into a blank Pages file.

Copy The Text of Your Agreement

The most versatile way to export the text of your agreement is with the "Copy Text" functionality.

Clicking that link will will save the agreement to the clipboard on your computer so you can then paste it anywhere.

You can use this functionality to paste an agreement into a blank document in any word processing program or onto a webpage as a click-to-accept agreement.

Export Your Agreement As HTML

You can also save the file as an HTML file to use on a webpage. Click the circle with three dots at the very top right of the agreement and then click the "Copy HTML" link.

That will save the HTML file in your clipboard. From there, you can paste the HTML anywhere you want to use it.
