How Do I Choose The Right One-On-One Client Agreement?

If you’re looking for an agreement for one-on-one services, coaching, consulting, or speaking, you are in the right place. These are the agreements you’ll use when you are selling coaching, services, or your speaking services.

Here’s a quick overview of the agreements.

Coaching Agreement - This is the agreement for any one-on-one coaching relationships. It is versatile, allowing you to set out the terms of nearly any type of one-on-one coaching. If you have enabled Disclaimers in your Document Presets, your disclaimer will be added.

Consultant Agreement - This is a versatile agreement for use when you are providing one-on-one consulting services. You'll need to attach a "Statement of Work" to set out the services you'll provide. The key difference between this agreement and your Client Agreement is that it has a more versatile set of payment options, and it allows you to retain ownership of certain intellectual property.

Client Agreement - This is our generic agreement for service providers. You’ll need to attach (or create) a "Statement of Work" to describe the services you provide, but this agreement has all the legalese built in so you’ll know you are protected.

Tech Services Agreement - This is a slightly modified version of the Client Agreement to use when you are providing services that relate to technology. In addition to the standard client agreement clauses, it covers how your client will give you access to their tech stack.

Web Development Client Agreement - This is a client agreement that’s purpose-built for web designers and developers. We have a services "wizard" that you can use to fill in the work you’ll perform (or can opt to include a Statement of Work instead). It addresses things like timelines for the project and the necessary information for you to do the work.

Copywriting Agreement - If you offer copywriting services, this is the agreement for you. It includes standard arrangements, including projects, day rate, hourly work, and retainer work.
